Set in in contemporary India (Kolkata), MICHAEL is an intense depiction of a man who has lost his bearings and sense of direction resulting in a spiraling downward of his moral and emotional values. When he was young, Michael was a police officer who had a strong belief in law and order. However, a ricochet strikes and he accidentally kills a twelve-year-old boy. At this point Michael’s life begins to unravel. His eyesight worsens, he loses his job and he struggles to care for his son. When Michael finds work illegally pirating Bollywood films, he starts receiving phone calls from the father of the boy he accidentally killed, threatening to kill his own son when the boy turns twelve. Michael is sent into a paranoid race against the clock.

When Inez goes off dancing with her friends, Gil takes a walk at midnight and discovers what could be the ultimate source of inspiration for writing. Gil's daily walks at midnight in Paris could take him closer to the heart of the city but further from the woman he's about to marry.

On November 20th 1994, a mysterious explosion happens on the Balam Bridge in a suburb of Seoul and LEE Bang-u, a passionate journalist goes after the incident. One day, his hometown friend YOON Hyeok appears and hands him several documents and disks saying there is a hidden truth behind the Balam Bridge bombing. Bang-u forms a special investigation team with other journalists, SON Jin-gi and SONG Hyo-gwan. However, they are threatened by an unknown group of people allegedly known as a secret power which controls the government. The three journalists fight to reveal the truth but it becomes very difficult as the secret organization tries to stop them.

At the school, SONG meet GUN (Mario Maurer), a leader of youth gang “SPERM”. He and his gang members always have punch-up things. They were thought to be a kind of gangsters. SONG was warned to stay away from them. However when SONG got problems, GUN and his gang members always sincerely help him out. SONG found their true skins and was impressed by their strong spirits and true relationship. Finally SONG decides to join in SPERM gang. His world has been changing. Though he realized that many terrible things will come into his life, but that makes their friendship be more tightened and bring him the actual meaning of the word “true friend”
