Welcome to Hua Hin International Film Festival 2012.
It is my great honor to be a part of the Festival to bring everyone the great films at Hua Hin. With the strong enthusiasm from the Federation of National Thai Film Association, leading by Mr. Jaruek Kaljaruek and Dr. Sorajak Kasemsuwan, this festival is planned to be one of the key factors to drive Thai Film Industry as a HUB of Asean Films and the Hollywood of Asia.
We are very pleased that we are able to get good co-operations from many Asian Film Producers, Directors and Distributors to allow us to screen their films. Hence, we also get acceptances from movie stars and directors to present themselves at our event during 26-29 January 2012.
The Film Showcase is sectioned into 3 particular parts as Thai (oldies and contemporaries), ASEAN Showcase, Hollywood HI-lights and Asian Attractions and There will be some 50 films to be screened at 4 theaters in Major Cineplex Hua Hin and an open – air theatre at the Centennial Park. We then expect to have around 15,000 audiences to watch the films. The People’s Choice Award will be given to the film which got the most popular votes from these audiences.
In addition, for Thai fans, we will have a Retrospective Section of Kru Lek – Pattravadee Mechuthon with 3 of her films to be screened at vic Hua Hin.
The four days at Hua Hin will be worth a visit and thoroughly enjoyable for everyone with various films from 14 Asian countries and Hollywood and activities.
